Peckham Town Centre Conservation Areas 28 June 7pm

The Peckham Society has campaigned for several years for a Conservation Area for Peckham Town Centre. English Heritage examined the historic buildings in the town centre and concluded that they were a collection of buildings of special interest and deserved to be restored and protected. The Copeland Cultural Quarter stirs into more organic growth this coming weekend. Son Gallery are hosting a whole weekend of art, music and food as they launch their first Copeland Book Market from Friday to Sunday. See details below. Frank’s Cafe & Bold Tendencies back from 30th June

The spectacular success of the Hannah Barry Gallery’s summer sculpture exhibition with Frank’s Cafe at Peckham’s multi storey car park brings them back for the summer opening this year on Thursday 30th June, to 30th September. Saturday 25th June 2011 is the first national Civic Day to celebrate where we live: England’s first ever Civic Day and over 150 civic societies will be holding events to celebrate their area and keep it distinctive. Everyone is invited to join in and learn more about where they live.
