You will have seen the email about the Council’s public exhibition, next Tues 28 June 4-8pm Peckham Library, of the proposals for the new town centre Conservation Area which adjoins the Holly Grove Conservation Area. At the request of some local residents a local meeting has been arranged in a local resident’s house for Wed 29 June at 7.15pm.

Peckham Town Centre Conservation Areas 28 June 7pm

The Peckham Society has campaigned for several years for a Conservation Area for Peckham Town Centre. English Heritage examined the historic buildings in the town centre and concluded that they were a collection of buildings of special interest and deserved to be restored and protected. The Copeland Cultural Quarter stirs into more organic growth this coming weekend. Son Gallery are hosting a whole weekend of art, music and food as they launch their first Copeland Book Market from Friday to Sunday. See details below.
