Wed 29 June 7.15pm local meeting Conservation Area proposals

email from Bellenden Residents’ Group to local residents in the Holly Grove Conservation Area or nearby Bellenden.

You will have seen the email about the Council’s public exhibition, next Tues 28 June 4-8pm Peckham Library, of the proposals for the new town centre Conservation Area which adjoins the Holly Grove Conservation Area. At the request of some local residents a local meeting has been arranged in a local resident’s house for Wed 29 June at 7.15pm.

This will be to hear from Benedict O’Looney on why the Conservation Area is so important to protect and bring back into use the historic buildings in the town centre, how this contributes to realising the potential of Peckham town centre, and the beneficial implications for the Holly Grove Area,
Bellenden as a whole, and Peckham overall.

Benedict is an expert on the history of Peckham’s buildings so this will be an interesting and educational meeting. You will be able to have any questions answered about the proposals and also how they fit with the Council’s plans on the Peckham Area Action Plan (PNAAP). That is also just coming out for consultation and we can tell you more about that too.

As there is limited space, you need to reserve a place. If you want to come please let me know as soon as possible and I can send you the venue details. If you are interested in the future of this area, do come and join in our continuing conversation.
