Are you a local rail user of any of the stations covered by SRUG? These are Nunhead, Peckham Rye, Denmark Hill, North Dulwich, East Dulwich, Queen’s Rd Peckham, Sth Bermondsey. If you are, you may be interested in the latest SRUG News on the effects of cutting the South London Line (December 2012) and the arrival of the East London Line (January 2013), and other news about London Bridge and Blackfriars / St Pancras services.

Although the campaign to save the South London Line did not succeed, SRUG remains committed to seeking the restoration of that direct link between London Bridge and Victoria via Peckham Rye when the rebuilding of London Bridge is completed in 2019.

Our next step is to campaign to fill the gaps that will be left, in January 2013, in services to and from Victoria serving Denmark Hill, Peckham Rye and Nunhead, which are Southwark stations covered by SRUG. If you use Nunhead, Peckham Rye or Denmark Hill, we hope very much you will support the campaign and help to ensure that the Transport Minister and the London Mayor are left in no doubt that we need them to take action on this to make sure the service gaps to Victoria will be filled by January 2013.
