MESSAGE FROM ROYAL COURT  –  INTERESTED IN THEATRE? LOOKING TO GET INVOLVED?

The Royal Court Theatre is currently recruiting:
THEATRE LOCAL HOSTS
as part of their front of house team for their upcoming Theatre Local project in Peckham Rye.

Theatre Local is a new strand of the Royal Court’s work, which involves taking productions out of our Sloane Square home and placing them in alternative spaces at the heart of London life. After a successful run at the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre last year, the Theatre Local project will run at the Bussey Building, Peckham Rye, from the end of September to mid-November 2011. http://royalcourttheatre.com/whats-on/theatre-local-peckham

The Theatre Local Hosts assist the Venue Manager in providing a safe and welcoming experience for all visitors to the space, acting as a host during performances and engaging the local community with the Theatre Local project and the work of the Royal Court.

Hours:  At least 3 evening shifts per week. Most shifts are in the evenings from 6.00pm onwards, although we do have matinees on Thursdays and Saturdays. Everyone is asked to work regular
weekend shifts.

This is a casual position for a fixed period, between 29th September – 19th November 2011. Although there may be opportunities to continue working at the main theatre in Sloane Square following the project.

Salary: £26.67 per shift (3 3/4hours), including holiday pay.
