Join us to celebrate Theatre Local 2011 with free film & music night

The Royal Court’s Theatre Local hosted its final performances of  The Westbridge at the weekend to sold-out audiences … but it’s not over yet.

In celebration of Theatre Local and all those who have supported us, we hope you will be able to join us this Thursday from 7pm for a final Theatre local 2011 Film and Music event.

In partnership with STEP (Southwark Theatre’s Education Partnership) we will be screening a short film by writer Bola Agbaje alongside short films by a series of competition winners aged 13-20 who have created films using their mobile phones set in Southwark. Plus a very special Q&A with award-winning film, tv and stage actor Daniel Kaluuya,  who will talk about his acting career.

The CLF arts cafe bar will then come alive with the sounds of South London artists Jamie-Ley, Handshake, Emily Kay and many more, who will finish off the evening with eclectic live music sets.

This event is free and will mark the end of Theatre Local 2011
