2-4 August Old Waiting Room exhibition – call for volunteers

MESSAGE FROM PECKHAM VISION

“Platform View – Visions of Peckham”
an exhibition in the Old Waiting Room,
open for just 3 days, 2nd – 4th August

We’re preparing for our exhibition, showcasing our ideas and dreams for Peckham’s town centre, and collaborating with a diverse team of local designers, professionals, businesses and enthusiasts all volunteering their time and efforts to make this a very special gem of local interest to savour as part of Peckham’s cultural Olympiad.

Thank you to all those who have volunteered so far to come and help with this resident-led event. Local residents have led the work to restore the Old Waiting Room in Peckham Rye Station (http://www.peckhamvision.org/wiki/Old_Waiting_Room). This is an historic occasion itself being the first major public event in the restored Old Waiting Room, and will be an interesting experience for us all.

It is the longest event we have created, so there is still room for more volunteers, and we need your support. Do come and join us for a few hours and enjoy this unique experience. If you can make some time available during any of our sessions, we’d be delighted to hear from you. In particular, we need more help on Friday 3rd August, but volunteers welcome at any times if you can’t make it then.

Prep session: Thurs 2nd Aug, 1-5pm
Exhibition session  – Thurs 2nd Aug 4.30-9pm
Exhibition session  – Fri 3rd Aug – 12.30-9.30pm
Exhibition session  – Sat 4th Aug 10.30am-4.30pm
