Rye Lane public toilets petition

Message from Peckham Vision

Peckham Vision & Rye Lane Traders’ Association have jointly launched a

“We petition Southwark Council and Network Rail to provide
public toilets as part of the work to improve the areas around
historic Peckham Rye station.”

The petition will be available in shops in Rye Lane and in local cafes and pubs etc for signature.

It can also be downloaded – see – to collect signatures and returned to the RLTA ‘Suggestion Box’, at Khan’s Bargain Ltd, 135 Rye Lane, as indicated on the petition.

So if you think you can collect signatures in your neighbourhood or get a petition into your local shops or pubs, do please download and take them round. We want to give as many local people as possible the chance to take part.

The only public toilets in Peckham town centre are on Atwell Road. They are not pleasant to use. The Council now has £11m to recreate the public square in front of the station and make major improvements in Network Rail’s land around historic Peckham Rye station. See This is the moment to ensure that the changes include good quality public toilets with an adequate management system.

If you have any ideas about where the public toilets could best be located and any comments about them, or any other aspects of the station developments, please click reply and email us through <>
