The Drawing Room at The Old Cycle Club 4-7 April 2014

From Peckham Vision Facebook: The Old Cycle Club in Peckham will host The Drawing Room, an exhibition showcasing a selection of contemporary works on paper including limited edition prints, photographs and drawings.
Friday 4th – Sunday 6th April, open 10am – 6pm
Monday 7th April by appointment only.
The Old Cycle Club, 93 Choumert Road, SE15 4AP.
Few minutes walk from Peckham Rye station.

Built originally in 1882 as a church hall and Sunday school for the church on Copleston Road, The Old Cycle Club was rescued from dereliction in the late 1960s and given its characteristic 1970s facelift. Having again fallen into disrepair by the early part of this century, the building is now in its third life and undergoing a gradual self-build renovation into a distinctive home and studio. It is now a courtyard house with the living spaces surrounding a small garden which has been carved out of the centre of the original hall. This is only the start, and plans are being developed to extend The Old Cycle Club upwards and forwards to bring a new face to this robust, durable and unique building. Read more:
