centre is being hand crafted and viewed from new angles.
There will be something for everyone to connect in again, or connect for the first time, to community
discussions about our town centre through creative activities, the town centre exhibition and the

OTHER CATCH-UP NEWS
* Bold Tendencies & Franks Cafe
The ever popular summer project designed and run on the top three floors of the multi storey car
park has opened its 2014 season in June. As always a must visit to enjoy the amazing view. Visit
the ever popular Franks Cafe, and find out why there is a special big balloon flying from the Bold
Tendencies show this year over central Peckham – http://goo.gl/HkGEXQ
* Future of the Multi Storey Car Park.
Southwark News reported that Council Plans have come under attack from a government official.
The Planning Inspector’s report said the Council’s proposals for the area around the multi-storey car
park in Peckham were “unsound” and had “‘significant shortcomings” because they did not protect
the site from demolition and redevelopment…” http://goo.gl/9VB27t. Local groups, businesses and
residents who brought this to the Inspector’s attention at the PNAAP Public Hearings in 2013 are
working together on ideas to explore the potential for converting the car park into a permanent
cultural centre. If you are interested in being involved please email info@peckhamvision.org
* CLF Art Cafe @ the Bussey Building 133 Rye Lane.
Have you visited the CLF Art Café in the Bussey Building recently? http://goo.gl/AAqFac. The CLF
occupies 4 floors at the Rye Lane end of the huge warehouse factory over 100 years old:
http://goo.gl/agBrDy. The Bussey was saved from demolition by the Peckham Vision campaign
2005-2009, and is realising some of the potential that we identified and publicised. It’s well known
now for regular music events, theatre, the summer roof top cinema and much more. The CLF first
floor refreshment bar is open everyday from 5pm – 11pm for hot and cold drinks, and light snacks.
Well worth a visit. Give us yr feedback if you go!
