resident’s vision for central Rye Lane

A local resident has set out his overall aspirations for the development here: http://goo.gl/iwNU9v and http://goo.gl/TjK4tN He supports the creation of the square but the restoration of the remaining art deco buildings, and the opening up of the eastern arches. This fits with the new green paths on the eastern side we have floated, and the retention and adaptation of the multi storey car park for permanent cultural uses. He proposes the demolition of the art deco building on the eastern side opposite the new square.  What do you think on any of these points?
