road changes at Peckham Rye-East Dulwich Rd & Copeland-Heaton -Consort Road

This is late news in about an opportunity tomorrow – Wednesday evening – to see detailed plans and talk to the Council specialist on the plans to change the road and traffic arrangements at

* Peckham Rye between Rye Lane and the junctions with Somerton Road and East Dulwich Road

* the Copeland-Consort-Heaton Road one way system

So if you are a local resident there, or a pedestrian, or cyclist, or car driver who uses those roads this is a key chance, maybe the only one, to see the plans displayed and make sure you understand them enough to comment.

The key officer who knows all about them will be present at the Nunhead & Peckham Rye Community Council meeting before the break, around 7:15pm, to display plans/drawings of the proposals and explain/ clarify any queries /questions during the break time. His message about the overall consultation is below with a consultation document on each of the projects attached.

MESSAGE FROM SOUTHWARK COUNCIL

As part of our 2011/12 Local Implementation Programme (LIP) for highway/public realm improvement works, funded by Transport for London, we are consulting on schemes in Peckham Rye and the Copeland-Consort-Heaton Road one way system. (See attachments)

The consultation period, 13 June – 11 July, provides you with the opportunity to comment on the proposals.
